The asset and wealth management industry is about to usher in a period of disruption, with cyber security threats a big concern, chief executives across the sector have warned.
Unsurprisingly, technology and the speed that it may change the sector is perhaps what makes AWM chief executives lose the most sleep.
The PwC figures show that 70% of respondents think that changes in core technologies will prove “disruptive or very disruptive” over the next five years.
As a consequence, many are also worried about the availability of digital talent, with 63% confessing to being “somewhat or extremely concerned” about the lack of digital skills in senior leadership.
A similar number, 67%, are concerned about a lack of digital skills throughout their businesses.
