Chong will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s business development strategy, targeting the financial institutions in Singapore and Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Chong will report to Erich Gerth, chief executive Asia Pacific & Global Business Development.
He joins Aviva Investors from Fullerton Fund Management, where he was head of business development in North Asia. In this role he led the company’s pursuit of opportunities in the institutional, wholesale and private banking segments in China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. He was also responsible for business development efforts including structuring new products, securing new distribution channels and developing new business platforms in regional markets.
