bdo merges with pkf uk

2 Apr 13

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has completed its merger with PKF LLP.

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has completed its merger with PKF LLP.

The merger was announced last November and brings the two companies under the BDO brand as part of BDO’s international network – the largest global accountancy organisation aimed at the mid-market, with revenues of more than $6bn operating in 138 countries.

The new company, BDO LLP, has 24 office locations in the UK, has more than 3,500 employees and generates revenues approaching £400m, according to a statement released by the company today.

Simon Michaels, managing partner of BDO LLP, said: “Merging with a firm of the quality and size of PKF has created one of the strongest firms focused on the mid-market, with the breadth and depth to work with ambitious businesses that want exceptional service and access to impressive UK and worldwide networks.

“We’ve got talented people, an ambition to grow from this position of strength and firm financial foundations. We’re proud to be at the forefront of the change in the market and, with the Competition Commission reporting back on its remedies to the FTSE 350 audit market, we will also be looking for opportunities to work with more FTSE listed businesses than ever before.”
