What will a ‘Brexit’ mean for my pension?

Will there be any immediate change if we vote to leave?

If the UK decides to leave the EU, the UK government will start a lengthy period of negotiation around the terms of our exit and also of any future trade agreements with other EU members and countries outside the EU.

Most changes will not happen until after this negotiation which will last at least two years, and many changes may not be agreed for considerably longer. If you have a defined contribution pension, you may see an immediate impact on its value depending on the assets you are invested in.
