clyde and co hires partners in doha dubai

1 Dec 11

International law firm Clyde & Co has made two appointments at its offices in the Middle East.

International law firm Clyde & Co has made two appointments at its offices in the Middle East.

Jason Majid, a Canadian qualified corporate lawyer with nine years of experience in the region, becomes a partner in the firm’s Middle East corporate group, based in the Doha office.

Majid will work on all aspects of corporate and commercial work with a particular focus on M&A, corporate structuring and joint ventures, capital markets, and foreign direct investment.

Adrian Low is appointed banking and finance partner and will be based in the company’s Middle East corporate practice in Dubai. He will focus on mergers and acquisitions, acting for lenders and borrowers, as well as in relation to general finance facilities.

Low joins the firm having spent the past two years in Kuwait, where he developed a regional financial practice.

David Salt, managing partner of Clyde & Co’s Qatar office, said that the firm’s broader strategic plan is to increase capacity to service projects across the region and further strengthen its corporate service offerings.

Clyde & Co operates as a single unit across the Middle East, with offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and Doha in Qatar, as well as an associated  office in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

As International Adviser reported, Clyde & Co last month merged with Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, to create a firm with 270 partners and 1,300 lawyers globally.
