“After a year of feverish M&A activity some tricky questions hang over the platform market. Is Hargreaves Lansdown’s D2C dominance at last under threat from the rise of neo-brokers and possibly Abrdn’s purchase of Interactive Investor?

“In the advice market, will in-house platforms manage to carve a chunk out of the half billion AUA market, with the charge led by Seccl and Hubwise? Will SS&C shake up the larger advice and wealth management platform market? With Morningstar buying Praemium, can FE fundinfo afford to be far behind? What are private equity firms’ plans? AnaCap with Amber, Novia and Wealthtime. Epiris with James Hay and the newly acquired Nucleus. And Preservation Capital Partners and AssetCo with Parmenion.”
