HSBC Private Bank hires Simon Gordon

7 Sep 11

Simon Gordon has joined HSBC Private Bank as a director in its ultra high net worth team.

Simon Gordon has joined HSBC Private Bank as a director in its ultra high net worth team.

Gordon joined Credit Suisse in 2006, where most recently he led the team responsible for the entrepreneurs initiative and private companies initiative.

In his 20-plus years in financial services, he has also worked at Abbey National Asset Managers, SLC Asset Management, Hill Samuel Asset Management and Williams de Broe.

“HSBC Private Bank has a long history in providing advice to entrepreneurs and they are a significant proportion of the clients that we advise,” said HSBC Private Bank head of ultra high net worth Steve Whiting.

“Entrepreneurs require increasingly sophisticated solutions and there is often a fine line between their business and personal requirements. Simon’s appointment further strengthens our commitment to this key market.”
