Marber was chief business strategist, global head of emerging markets debt at HSBC having joined the company when it acquired The Atlantic Advisors in 2005 of which he was a founding partner, senior portfolio manager and chief investment strategist.
In his new role, Marber will report to HSBC chief investment officer Jae Park.
In his new role, Marber will take leadership of an emerging markets product team that includes portfolio managers David Rolley, Eddy Sternberg and Peter Frick, and emerging markets senior credit strategist Elisabeth Colleran.
