Luxembourg-based Internaxx Bank is changing its name to TD Direct Investing International to give a global brand image and explain better the online broker services it provides.

TD Direct Investing International (TD Direct II), part of the Toronto-Dominion Bank group, provides international and expatriate investors with access to world markets in multiple currencies through its online platform and mobile trading app, backed by a multi-language call centre.

Annemarie Jung, chief executive of TD Direct Investing International said that “we can now clearly represent our international offering as part of a global brand”.

Looking ahead, Jung added that the plan is to develop “our mobile capabilities which are growing in importance for our globally mobile clients. This includes additional functionalities and app development for other devices such as iPads”.

Launched in 2001, TD Direct II has a client base in over 160 countries and client assets under management in excess of £1.05bn (€1.25bn). It offers online real time share dealing, discounted offshore mutual funds, FX and derivatives trading.

The Toronto-Dominion Bank and its subsidiaries are collectively known as TD Bank Group (TD). TD, which is the sixth largest bank in North America by branches and has 22m customers, also has 8.5m online customers.
