Investor immigration programs have been growing in popularity around the world, while governments have sought to constantly adjust their requirements to the increased demand.

Our stories on the varied routes investors can take toward gaining residency in different jurisdictions proved highly popular with the International Adviser audience in 2015.

In particular this gallery providing details on 10 of the world’s most popular investor immigration schemes provided by the Global Investor Immigration Council was among our most retrieved items of the year.

In Portugal both the Non-Habitual Residency (NHR) programme introduced in 2009 and the Investor Visa programme introduced in 2012 are among those schemes which have been described as unqualified successes.
