Aegon

Group chief technology officer Mark Bloom will leave the company on 1 June 2021.

He has led the firm’s technology and innovation activities and decided to pursue other opportunities.

Bloom joined Aegon in 2016 as chief technology officer after holding several senior roles within technology at Citi and JP Morgan Chase.

Financial Ombudsman Services

Nausicaa Delfas will take on the role of interim chief executive officer and chief ombudsman at the FOS.

She succeeds Caroline Wayman who stepped down after seven years at the helm of the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Delfas is currently executive director of international and interim chief operating officer at the Financial Conduct Authority.

Enhance Group

The financial services firm co-founder Richard Sayers has returned to the business as client services director.

He set up the group in 2005 and moved to Singapore in 2015 to work as managing director of Enhance’s arm in the Lion City.

Sayers then joined Equiom Group in 2017 as managing director for its fiduciary division.

Royal London Asset Management (RLAM)

Eli Haroush has become head of ESG research at the asset manager.

He joins from APG in the Netherlands where he managed the firm’s Global Developed Financials & Real Estate Equities fund.

In the newly created role, Haroush will lead the responsible investment team to create bespoke ESG analysis to feed into RLAM’s investment decision.

Financial Conduct Authority

The UK financial watchdog has made three senior hires.

Sacha Sadan joins as director of environmental, social and governance (ESG). He was previously at Legal and General Investment Management where he spent more than nine years as director of investment stewardship.

Ian Alderton has been promoted to chief information officer, after joining the regulator on a temporary basis in January.

Ian Phoenix will become director for intelligence and digital to enhance the FCA’s surveillance capabilities. He joins from Citizens’ Health Technology at NHS Digital where he helped lead the response to covid-19.

Canada Life

The insurance firm has hired Andy Colvin to fill the newly created role of change delivery director.

He will help the firm complete its transformation programme, which started three years ago.

Colvin used to work at EY where he led the life and pension insurance technology transformation business.

Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC)

Ian Wright will retire as commissioner and deputy chair after nine years at the Jersey regulator.

He joined the board of commissioners in 2012, was re-selected for a four-year term in 2017, and then took on the role of deputy chair in 2018.

Commissioner Monique O’Keefe will succeed Wright, effective immediately.

G+E Wealth Management

Leeds- and York-based wealth firm has recruited Mark Frier as financial planning director.

He joins from Schroders Personal Wealth, where he served as an adviser to private clients.
