PEOPLE MOVES: CII, Sarasin & Partners, Credit Suisse

Trade body hires CEO, while global investment manager names dual CIOs

Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)

Alan Vance has taken on the role of chief executive of the professional body. He currently holds a similar position for the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Vance will succeed interim chief executive Jonathan Clark from 30 August 2022.

Sarasin & Partners

Global investment manager Sarasin & Partners has promoted three senior people to c-suite positions.

Current chief investment officer Guy Monson will become chief market strategist, while Jerry Thomas and Phil Collins will be chief investment officers for global equities and multi-asset, respectively.

Thomas was previously head of global equities, whereas Collins served as head of multi-asset.

Credit Suisse Asset Management

The Swiss firm has made two senior hires. Andrew Jackson joins as head of fixed income, effective from June 2022. He was previously at Federated Hermes where he worked in a similar position since 2017.

Matthew Oakley will take on the role of global head of data and digital services, also effective from June 2022. He used to work at UBS Asset Management where he served as chief digital and information officer since 2019.

Epworth Investment Management

Simon Woolnough has become head of business development at the UK-based investment management firm. He spent the last two years at Blackfinch Group as head of distribution, tax.

Quilter Cheviot

The Quilter subsidiary has expanded its equity research team with two hires. Jarek Pominkiewicz and Tom Gilbey join as equity research analysts.

Pominkiewicz was previously at Jeffries where he covered the UK industrial sector with a focus on chemicals, auto suppliers and business services; while Gilbey used to work at RWC Partners, now Redwheel, across UK, European and global equity funds.
