Tilney S&W adds second firm to succession programme

By Cristian Angeloni, 6 Jan 22

Advice company founder will join the wealth manager’s Essex office

UK wealth management group Tilney Smith & Williamson (TSW) has acquired IFA firm FP Solutions.

This is part of the firm’s succession programme and marks the second deal under the scheme, which kicked off in November 2021 with the acquisition of Northumberland-based Explore Wealth Management.

FP Solutions founder and owner Steve Jupp will join TSW’s Chelmsford office which provides financial planning and investment advice.

Richard Dawes, head of strategic partnerships at TSW, said: “I am delighted that Steve Jupp is joining our Chelmsford office as part of our succession programme.

“Steve has built a great business working with clients from across Essex and this move will ensure they continue to receive a high-quality, personalised service for many years to come. The announcement also demonstrates our commitment to continue growing our business in Chelmsford and the wider Essex area.”

Jupp added: “I look forward to working with Tilney Smith & Williamson in the coming years in order to enhance the quality of my client proposition. I am confident that my clients will benefit enormously from the ongoing services and advice that Tilney Smith & Williamson can provide.”
