Top expat cities for pay and lifestyle – survey

HSBC’s expat explorer survey has named the top global cities for expats, covering a range of subjects including jobs and pay, education, leisure and living costs.

Education

Singapore ranked top for the quality of its schooling available to expats. Toronto ranked second for its ability to offer places to children who don’t speak English or French.

Glasgow was third closely followed by Edinburgh based on the Scottish education system’s global reputation.

New Zealand ranked highest for children’s health and wellbeing compared to expats’ home country with 76% reporting a boost.

The Netherlands, Sweden, Australia and Singapore made up the top five.
