Ten need-to-know trusts for investors

Hits on the AIC website have soared in recent months, but which investment trusts have been peaking investor interest so far this year?
The unusually named Temple Bar Investment Trust can trace its roots back to 1926 when it was known as the Cable, Telephone and General Trust Company Ltd.
It adopted the new name in 1977, harking back to the actual Temple Bar’s historic place forming a line marking the boundary between Westminster and the City.
It was even a place where the heads of executed traitors would often be displayed.
In the present day, the Temple Bar Investment Trust isn’t involved in anything as graphic, instead managed by the well-respected Alistair Mundy.
It nabbed a place in the top 10 most popular trusts so far this year.
