Adrian Zuercher from Credit Suisse Asset Management has been appointed as head of asset allocation, Asia Pacific at UBS Wealth Management.

In this newly created role, Zuercher will be responsible for setting up a tactical asset allocation process.
He is based in Hong Kong and reports to Mark Andersen, co-head of global asset allocation, and Min Lan Tan, Asia-Pacific regional head of UBS Wealth Management’s chief investment officer.

Zuercher has more than 13 years experience in the financial industry and joined Credit Suisse in 2005 as a senior strategist for institutional clients in the asset management division.

He was most recently head of emerging markets strategy and asset allocation at Credit Suisse Asset Management.

He was previously also a fund manager at VP Bank and a portfolio manager at F. van Lanschot Bankiers.

Early this month, Manulife poached Kai Sotorp, UBS Global Asset Management’s chief executive for the Asia Pacific region for a newly created role of executive vice president and global head of wealth and asset management.
