7 tips to compare drawdown providers

The number of providers offering drawdown has gone up since the pension vehicle was first introduced in the UK in 1995, but differences in quality of service and charges can be substantial, warns Hargreaves Lansdown, which has offered seven tips to compare providers.
You’ll probably have a question or two before you apply, which gives you the perfect opportunity to see what the service is like. The experience you have could be a good indicator of things to come.
If you have to wait several days for an email reply, or waste your time on hold, only to have a recorded voice direct you to a website, you might decide it’s not the type of service you want.
