The awards categories include both investment and estate planning products; they also look at the customer services levels from different life companies; and they look at the overall strength of the product ranges of the competing entrants.
There is a geographical split, with separate awards given for the UK Offshore, Asia, Middle East and European regions and the judges themselves are recruited from these same regions. This way, each award is voted on by people who actually have an intimate knowledge of the products and companies in question.
