Peter Huber heads Zurich Global Life Singapore

Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Peter Huber as chief executive of the company's global life business in Singapore.

Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Peter Huber as chief executive of the company's global life business in Singapore.

Huber was previously managing director in the Reinsurance division of Swiss Reinsurance Company.

A Swiss and Spanish citizen, he will be responsible for strengthening Zurich’s global life businesses in Singapore and succeeds Graham Morral, who is leaving Zuirch “to pursue other career opportunities” according to a company spokesperson.

Huber’s position takes effect from 3 July and he will report to Mark Hartigan, chief executive of Zurich’s global life business in Asia Pacific & Middle East.

Huber has more than 20 years of experience within insurance and business consulting in Europe and Asia where he has held senior positions at Allianz SE Asia-Pacific and the Swiss Life Group.

Zurich was awarded a licence last April to sell incurance products direct to consumers in Singapore.
