The SFC, which made the announcement yesterday, said it “looks forward to the continued leadership of Fong to further strengthen Hong Kong’s financial regulatory regime and to enhance Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre as well as the leading offshore renminbi centre”.
At the same time, the SFC also confirmed the re-appointment of Hon Chan Kam-lam and of Lawrence Lee Kam-hung by the Financial Secretary as non-executive directors for a term of two years, effective from 15 November 2011.
