Ex-FPI Singapore managing director Chris Gill joins SJP Asia

By Kirsten Hastings, 2 Aug 17

Former Friends Provident International Singapore managing director Chris Gill has joined St James’s Place Wealth Management Asia as development director to the international business.

In his new role, Gill will be based in the UK and oversee the firm’s proposition development as SJP Asia builds its position across the region.

Gill became managing director of FPI’s Singapore branch in 2011, also serving as deputy president of the Life Insurance Association during his time in Singapore.

He left the city state in June 2016 to join FPI’s parent company Aviva as project lead for the firm’s core strategic goals.

Mike Gravestock, international partnership director at SJP, said: “Chris has a track record of successfully building businesses in Asia and will bring his deep knowledge of the region’s business and regulatory communities.

“This is an exciting time for SJP Asia as we build on our international proposition for the local and expatriate communities. Chris will provide invaluable direction as the business continues to evolve.”
