Jeremy Charles made COO of Old Mutual wealth ops

Old Mutual Wealth Management has appointed Jeremy Charles chief operating officer of the business that currently includes the Skandia UK, Skandia International, Skandia Investment Group and Old Mutual Asset Managers (UK) brands.

Old Mutual Wealth Management has appointed Jeremy Charles chief operating officer of the business that currently includes the Skandia UK, Skandia International, Skandia Investment Group and Old Mutual Asset Managers (UK) brands.

Charles, who will report to Old Mutual Wealth Management chief executive Paul Feeney, starts in his new position today with responsibility for aligning operations and technology functions across the wealth management businesses.

Previously, Charles was chief operating officer of Thames River Capital and Foreign & Colonial, and prior to that he held a number of senior roles with CSTIM Limited, UBS and Coutts NatWest Group.

Charles said: “Changing customer demands and regulation across all of our markets presents significant opportunities for growth.”

Feeney said: "The strength of the businesses within Old Mutual Wealth Management provides a great opportunity to build high quality investment solutions for financial advisers and customers. In order to do that we need a strong and efficient operational platform.”
