PEOPLE MOVES: T. Rowe Price, LGIM, Savills IM

US investment giant T. Rowe Price has beefed up its sustainable investing division, while Savills Investment Management get a new Asian research head and LGIM expands its active equity team.

US investment giant T. Rowe Price has beefed up its sustainable investing division, while Savills Investment Management get a new Asian research head and LGIM expands its active equity team.

T. Rowe Price

US asset manager T. Rowe Price announced that Maria Elena Drew has joined the firm as director of research for its Responsible Investing division based in London.

In this role, Drew will deepen the firm’s research on environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations and focus on the incorporation of this analysis into the firm’s investment decisions.

She will report to Rob Sharps, group chief investment officer and co-head of global equity.

Drew comes to T. Rowe Price from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she worked for nine years as an equity analyst, portfolio manager and ESG specialist.

Legal & General Investment Management

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has expanded its active equity team with the appointment of Nigel Masding as lead manager of the Real Income Builder Fund.

Masding joins LGIM from Longview Partners, where he was a partner and global equities research analyst. Prior to this, he was a senior equities portfolio manager at HSBC Halbis Capital Management.

He will report to Nick Hartley, head of inflation-plus strategies within LGIM’s active equities team.

Savills Investment Management

Savills Investment Management has appointed Benedict Lai as Asia Research Manager.

Lai will be responsible for developing house views on Asia-Pacific real estate markets and providing new fund ideas and investment themes for the investment firm. He will report to chief investment officer Kiran Patel.

Prior to joining Savills, Lai held various positions at PGIM Real Estate (previously known as Pramerica Real Estate Investors), Capital Malls Asia Limited and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Muzinich

New York City-based asset manager Muzinich has promoted its managing director of marketing and client Relations Josh Hughes to the position of head of global distribution, with a focus on key international accounts.

Hughes will coordinate with the firm’s regional European offices to support and develop business with the company’s leading partners.

He will also continue to maintain his UK and regional responsibilities as well as maintaining his ongoing relationships with the firm’s longstanding clients.

Fiduciary Trust

Global wealth manager Fiduciary Trust Company International, part of Franklin Templeton Investments, has appointed Gerard F. Joyce, Jr. as national head of trust & estates.

Joyce, who is based in New York, will oversee the firm’s trust and estates strategy and administration in the US. His responsibilities will include leading Fiduciary Trust’s team of professionals who engage with clients and their advisors globally to develop charitable, estate, and wealth transfer plans.

Joyce joins the firm after nearly 17 years at HSBC Private Bank, where he served as managing director and head of the US personal trust division.

Tenet

Financial advisory firm Tenet has appointed Keely Craig to the role of group finance director.

Craig has held senior roles for the last 16 years, primarily in the financial sector, and was previously finance director at Skipton Financial Services Limited. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
