IFA firm makes third acquisition in London

By Cristian Angeloni, 9 Oct 19

It aims to boost independent advice and expand in the capital

UK wealth company The Private Office has bought John Lamb Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

John Lamb is a London-based financial planning firm with a team of 11 members of staff and has been around for three years.

Through the acquisition, The Private Office expands its presence in the UK’s capital, and will host John Lamb’s team in its Carter Lane office, with now 17 financial advisers and two trainee advisers.

This marks the third London acquisition for the wealth manager, following the purchase of SRLV Financial earlier this year and PQR financial Planning in 2016.

Organic growth

Stuart Phillips, chief executive of The Private Office, said: “The deal strengthens the firm’s London presence and creates a platform for further natural growth.

“Our current focus is to grow The Private Office organically through the quality of our wealth management advice and lead generation, but we are open to discussions with independent firms if there is a good fit, professionally and culturally”.

John Lamb’s managing partner Paula Steele, said: “We believe that as part of The Private Office, we can offer our clients the best possible range of services and expertise in the market today.”
