Are investors still timing the market?

By Mark Battersby, 19 Nov 19

GAM’s James Weston talks best practice and looks at where the ETF sector is heading

The best investors commit to holdings in their portfolios over the long term, says James Weston, head of international managed solutions at GAM Investments.

He highlights impressive research that Morningstar has done in the US to support his view and he also quantifies the size of the ETF market and one particular challenge in this space further down the line.

Weston spelt out his strategy recently at International Adviser’s Fund Links Forum in central London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel.
