Sharetech platform Vestd becomes a Certified B Corporation

By Editorial Staff, 26 Feb 25

More than 9,000 businesses globally have been certified as B Corps

UK sharetech platform Vestd has gained certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp).

Verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, the achievement demonstrates that Vestd meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability alongside a commitment to goals beyond shareholder value.

B Corp Certification assesses the entirety of a business’s operations and covers impact areas related to practices around governance, workers, community, the environment and customers.

The certification process requires companies to provide evidence on performance while legally embedding their commitment to purpose as well as profit in their company articles.

Vestd is now part of a growing community of over 9,000 businesses globally that have been certified as B Corps.

The B Corp community in the UK is one of the largest and fastest-growing in the world, with over 2,500 companies spanning a range of different industries and sizes. Names include The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, The Big Issue, Finisterre, Elemis, and Sipsmith Gin.

Ifty Nasir (pictured), founder and CEO of Vestd added: “We always felt strongly aligned to the B Corp mission – to see a world that works for the collective benefit of people and the planet, and so we are thrilled to be officially part of the movement!”

“For us, ‘kind business’ isn’t a side CSR project, it’s something that is absolutely embedded in everything that we do, and indeed, it’s fundamental to our core product and core mission.”

“The Vestd platform makes it easier for companies to share success with their teams (whether that’s employees, investors, consultants etc) because we’ve seen the economic benefits for individuals, companies and communities.”

“If more companies shared, we’d see a world of work that provides better rewards for everybody, not just the few. And we’d see a healthier economy fuelled by stable businesses that grow faster, that survive and thrive – even through economically difficult periods.”

“We believe that our business is a driver for good, and the entire Vestd team is over the moon to have our efforts recognised by B Labs. Being under the B Corp umbrella makes it easier to smash our goals, and make a better world for us all to live in.”

Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vestd to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies that are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good.”

“Welcoming Vestd is an exciting moment for the sharetech and employee benefits industry. We know that Vestd is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”
