Ahead of the launch of its stocks platform

Varun Sridhar has been appointed chief executive of Paytm Money, an investment platform that offers access to mutual fund schemes.

He was previously chief executive of FinShell India, where he launched fintech platform Realme PaySa on mobile.

Prior to this, he was with BNP Paribas for nearly eight years where he held various roles.

His appointment comes ahead of the launch of Paytm Money’s stocks platform.

Meaningful financial inclusion

Sridhar commented: “I am thrilled to be part of the team that is responsible for introducing wealth management services to consumers in both Indian and Bharat and making meaning financial inclusion simple and easy.

“The wealth management and financial service solutions that Paytm Money is building are transforming the lives of millions of Indians and are relevant globally, as well.”
