Rashay Makan is managing director of Carrick Wealth South Africa (CWSA), where he leads the strategic growth of CWSA and its subsidiaries, having joined Carrick when it was first founded in 2014. He also serves as chairman of the group’s risk and governance committee and is a member of the group’s investment committee. Before being appointed managing director, he was the firm’s operations director for five years. Before that, he was the managing director of the Carrick Development Academy. He has over 10 years of private wealth management experience, having established several wealth management teams throughout Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree with honors in Finance from the University of Cape Town and an MBA through the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town. Out of work, Makan is an avid Arsenal football fan.
