I have recently become IFGL’s Chief Commercial Officer, as well as being CEO of Ardan international.
Before this I have spent a majority of my career leading large scale operational teams from across the globe in both the retail and private banking sector before moving across into Insurance.
What are your career highlights?
Being Friends Provident International CEO and leading the business through the transition from Aviva to IFGL, and then becoming the IFGL Group Customer Service Director.
What has been your greatest challenge?
As well as being my career highlight, managing a company of 400 people from around the globe through the personal uncertainty that the transition into IFGL brought with it was an enormous challenge.
How do you relax? (30 words max)
With my 2 boys now leaving the nest I like to spend time playing golf, travelling and walking our dog (Isla) with my wife, Angela.
What do you think has been the most significant industry change of the last 5 years?
As IFGL is a global company, the level of regulatory change from around the globe has increased significantly over recent years which brings cost and complexity into all facets of the business.
Customer expectations have also increased significantly in recent years and businesses need to recognise this and improve the client end-to-end experience if they are to succeed in the future
