A safe pair of hands is what you want behind the stumps and, while Butler is still growing into the role, his keeping of late puts him ahead of Brad Haddin and, his batting puts him ahead of newcomer Peter Nevill. Although he has yet to come off this series so far, the expectation in his ability to help wag the English tail is high.
