Isle of Man-headquartered, Canada Life International, has recruited a former actuary from Zurich International to work as its chief financial officer.

Isle of Man-headquartered, Canada Life International, has recruited a former actuary from Zurich International to work as its chief financial officer.

Graeme Easton, who also previously worked for Axa Isle of Man, joins Canada Life during a pivotal time for its offshore business.

The international arm of the business has recently relocated to new purpose-built headquarters as it looks to expand its Isle of Man business. It is also in the process of acquiring Legal & General International to complement and grow its business in Dublin.

“I’m delighted that Graeme has decided to join the company,” said the insurer’s managing director, Sean Christian. “Graeme’s actuarial and broader industry skills will ensure he plays a crucial role in the delivery of our future growth strategy.”

Easton said: “The opportunity to move to Canada Life was too good to miss, enabling me to take my actuarial skills into a wider finance role and joining a well-respected company with clear plans for the future”.
