Emerging markets on the radar as ‘top pick’

By Mark Battersby, 13 Nov 19

Carmignac’s Obe Ejikeme explains the state of the current market cycle and what lies ahead

The market is in a tricky place right now and close to a cyclical trough, says Obe Ejikeme, quantitative equity analyst at Carmignac.

Up around 20% since the start of the year, assets in client portfolios need to be rotated to take advantage of changing conditions over the next 12 to 18 months, which favour areas such as emerging markets, he argues.

He gave insights on this outlook recently at International Adviser’s Fund Links Forum in central London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel.
