After an astonishing general election that delivered a hung UK parliament, there has been nothing but political uncertainty in recent weeks. All eyes now turn to the delayed Queen’s Speech on 19 June, setting out the legislative programme for this year. Spring Budget loose ends could be tied together, says Cameron, including the Money Purchase Annual Allowance (MPAA).
“A new Finance Bill could tie together the long list of loose ends from the Spring Budget dropped from the pre-Election Finance Act.
“We need clarity on the future level of the Money Purchase Annual Allowance for those who’ve exercised pension freedoms and on the amount of employer-sponsored advice which is exempt from National Insurance and tax,” he said.
