Those listed are the top five of the 20 most viewed member investment companies in 2017,  published on the firm’s site on Tuesday.

The so-called “dividend heroes” remained top of the charts in 2017, with 10 of the AIC’s most viewed companies offering a dividend yield above 3% by the end of December. Thirteen out of the 20 investment trusts featured on its list have increased their dividends for 10 or more consecutive years.

Seventeen come from global and/or income focused sectors, a fact the AIC said is hardly surprising “with interest rates remaining low and inflation creeping up”.

So, which trusts piqued investors’ interest the most last year? Click through to find out.
