The UK’s Association of Investment Companies has revealed the five most searched investment trusts on its website in 2017.

3) Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust

Next up is the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust, overseen by BMO GAM’s head of multi-asset, Paul Niven, which is coincidentally celebrating its 150th year.

Delivering a strong 21% return in 2017, just shy of the global sector’s 22% gain, the investment company is one of the dividend heroes on the list, having increased its dividend for 46 consecutive years.
