I have spent over 20 years in the region working in both Malaysia and Hong Kong but in total have more than 30 years experience in the life industry in the UK and internationally.

Have worked primarily in sales through the independent financial advisory and wealth management channels for most of my career but prior to joining Investors Trust was Hong Kong General Manager for another major offshore life provider with responsibility for the Compliance, Operations and Marketing functions as well as sales.

Career highlight’s: Too many to make a single choice but what stands out is the great people I have been blessed to work with during my career.

Greatest challenge: Getting started in the offshore life industry. In the 1990s sales roles with the offshore providers were highly sought after and candidates with fluency in a second language were preferred but eventually perseverance paid off.

How do you relax? Scuba diving, watching rugby and hitting the gym.

Most significant industry change of last 5 years? The ability of fintech to disrupt the market and allow new players and distribution channels to emerge
