Diageo, owner of Johnnie Walker whiskey, makes the top 12 list due to its impressive long-term prospects and resilient trading. 

The ongoing popularity of whiskey, US spirits and Guiness ensures Diageo remains a strong contender in the drinks’ market, Forrest explains, and they will hope punters opt for Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Smirnoff, Baileys and Captain Morgan for their festive tipple.

Forrest said: “Christmas usually means an increase in social gatherings and global alcoholic beverages group Diageo will be hoping party-goers opt for its well-known global products.”
