The worst-performing funds of Q2
By Adam Lewis, 5 Jul 18
While funds invested in oil and gas companies dominated the lists of the best-performing funds in the second quarter, those investing in Latin America found themselves at the bottom of the table.
The only non-Latin American invested fund to make the five worst performers is the £236m City Financial Absolute Equity fund, which was down 21.76% in the second quarter of 2018.
Managed by David Crawford since launch at the end of March 2008, the fund adopts a fundamental equity long/short that aims to achieve a positive absolute return for investors over rolling 36-month periods, primarily through investment in UK and global equities.
The fund sits in the IA Targeted Absolute Return sector, which over the same period is down just 0.21%.
