US in the news: Merit Financial Advisors names COO

A round-up of people moves and M&A deals across North America

People moves

Merit Financial Advisors

The Georgia-based financial advice firm has hired Chrissy Lee as chief operating officer.

Lee joins Merit from Asteria Wealth and Kalos Financial, where she was president and chief operating officer.

Dynamic Advisor Solutions

The professional services provider for wealth advisers has hired Steve Kulesza as chief business development officer.

Prior to joining Dynamic, he led the development and operations as chief operating officer for MSH Capital Advisors.

Raymond James

Financial advisers Jeffrey Kragen and Stephen Kragen have joined the wealth firm.

They join from Merrill Lynch, where Jeffrey Kragen previously managed approximately $217m (£188m, €218m) in client assets, and Stephen Kragen worked as a client service associate in the company’s San Francisco branch.

The father-son duo is joined by client service associate Isabella Blackman and are named Kragen Wealth Management Group of Raymond James.

Elsewhere, Raymond James has hired financial adviser Mark Goldman as managing director of Goldman Financial Services in Port Washington, New York.

Previously, Goldman managed approximately $135m in client assets at B Riley Wealth Management.

Summit Financial Wealth Advisors

Investment adviser Paul Guidry has joined the Focus Financial partner firm.

Guidry has over 20 years of experience providing wealth management services to individuals and families.

He specialises in financial planning and investment management.
