Coutts opens online platform; launches passives range

4 Apr 17

Coutts is offering access to five risk-graded multi-asset passive funds via a new online platform, Coutts Invest.

Coutts is offering access to five risk-graded multi-asset passive funds via a new online platform, Coutts Invest.

Personal Portfolio funds one to five range from conservative – with at least 70% in bonds – through to the most adventurous, with 90% plus in equities.

Holdings include passive funds from the likes of Fidelity, BlackRock and Vanguard, and ETFs from iShares and Source.

The maximum total charge for the service is 0.95% per annum, with fees decreasing as the value of investments rise.

The funds will be run by the same 60-strong in-house team that manages Coutts’ globally oriented Tailored Portfolio Service.

Aimed at Coutts clients, end investors can access the service through an initial sum of £500 ($623, €584) with regular contributions starting at £50.

“Coutts Invest is simple, low-cost, quick to use and gives our clients control of their investments through online banking while on the move,” said Mohammad Syed, Coutts’ managing director and head of financial advice & investment solutions.

“It’s ideally suited to those clients who want access to a simplified version of the Coutts house view, without paying for investment advice. With the Isa season in full swing, it is the perfect time to get involved.”
