With Christmas is just around the corner, Ian Forrest, investment research analyst at The Share Centre, gives his tips on the 12 companies that could offer investors a present this festive season.
Cooler weather would benefit Centrica this Christmas, with the company hoping households opt to stay in and turn the heating up over the festive period.
The owner of British Gas hopes to see better results this year after the mild weather of winter 2015 saw less people cranking up the central heating.
Forrest added: “A strategic review is now in place which the group hopes will achieve £750m of cost savings and improve returns on capital and cash flow.
“In the meantime Centrica will hope its customers choose to stay in and use its gas to keep warm this Christmas.”
