There is a similar situation in Singapore, where the MAS encourages employees to not solicit gifts, services or entertainment from external parties.
However, all gifts received are declared internally in order to avoid any conflict of interest and are stored in a log.
Additionally, employee’s family members are not allowed to accept gifts from third parties.
Like Jersey, the MAS does not have a set price for gifts, but it does state that “gifts, services and entertainment that are lavish or excessive (in terms of dollar value and frequency) are inappropriate”.
