PEOPLE MOVES: Julius Baer, US SEC, JP Morgan

Swiss private bank Julius Baer is reportedly hoovering up bankers from the defunct Singapore branch of BSI Bank. The US Securities and Exchange Commission has announced two more resignations, while JP Morgan Asset Management has created a chief executive and country head role in Australia.

Zurich

Shaun Summers has returned to Zurich as senior business development manager for Zurich Life Insurance in Hong Kong.

Summers previously worked at Zurich International Solutions, as corporate sales development manager, and at Zurich Financial Services, as head of sales for Europe, before joining Village Insurance Direct as a director in January 2012.

Falcon Private Bank

Falcon Private Bank has appointed Arthur Vayloyan as global head Products & Services and a member of the executive board, effective from 1 December 2016.

He joins from Credit Suisse, where he held a number of management positions, including global head of investment services and products, head of private banking Switzerland, and global head external asset management.

Fullerton Fund Management

Fullerton Fund Management announced its appointment of Patrick Yeo as chief investment officer, based in Singapore. Yeo will retain his current position as head of fixed income.

In his expanded role, Yeo will oversee the investment direction and strategy of all asset classes and investment portfolios at Fullerton. Additionally, he will continue with his fixed income portfolio management responsibilities.

He joined Fullerton in 2005 and has more than 26 years’ investment experience in areas such as fixed income, currency management, and interest rate trading.

Theam (BNPP IP)

BNP Paribas Investment Partners’ investment specialist subsidiary, Theam, has strengthened its indexing and ETF team with the appointments of Lorraine Sereyjol-Garros and Déborah Tempesta.

Reporting directly to Isabelle Bourcier, head of indexing and ETF, Sereyjol-Garros joins Theam as marketing director for French-speaking clients in France, Monaco, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium. She joins Theam from Barclays, where she was institutional client manager for France and Benelux.

Tempesta has been appointed marketing and communication officer reporting to Bertrand Alfandari, head of marketing and communication. She has worked for BNP Paribas since 2007.

Berenberg

European private bank Berenberg has announced three appointments who will take over the newly created central business units (CBU) and join the extended management board.

Henning Gebhardt will join Berenberg on 1 January from Deutsche Asset Management. He will be in charge of CBU Wealth and Asset Management. His will report to co-heads of Wealth Management Germany Dirk Wehmhöner and Oliver Holtz.

Christian Kühn has worked for the bank since 1997 and will be in charge of CBU Bank Management. David Mortlock will be in charge of CBU Investment and Corporate Banking. Having worked at Schroders und Citigroup, among others, he came to Berenberg in 2010 and was, most recently, global head of equities and head of the London branch.
